Data Management Tool
Minor Connectors Improvements
- Support added for sampling of
TSV
files in addition toCSV
andJSON
file formats. - Support added for Geo Points and Geo Polygons in JSON and CSV connectors.
Authoring Tool
Added Support for JSON Datatype
- JSON objects can now be passed through computations.
- Arrays of JSON objects now supported.
- Schema Discovery now recognizes and flattens JSON objects.
New COG_attachments
System Field
- Attachments are JSON objects that can be passed along in computations.
Minor Improvements in GeoJSON Features
- Added tolerance for Geo Points and Geo Polygons.
- Improved validation for Geo Points and Geo Polygons.
- Various bug fixes.
Added New Mathematical Trigonometry Functions
- Added support for sine, cosine, and tangent computations in both degrees and radians.
Added New Mathematical Constants
- Pi and Euler's Constant are now importable into the computations screen to be used as constants.
DevOps
- When bootstrapping a Kubernetes cluster, Delivery Tool is now able to read from custom repositories in addition to ECR's image repository, which provides customers with greater flexibility.
- Delivery Tool installations of Cogynt are now event-based, and will not proceed to the next step until the current step is successful, creating a more reliable delivery process.
- Cogynt can now deploy with multiple load balancers which increases the flexibility of which applications will be exposed to a given network.
Workstation
Events Stream Redesign
- The Events Stream widget has been renamed to Events Explorer. It has been given a large redesign, including a new layout and table.
- The columns menu has been redesigned to show all data fields instead of the fields on the current page of results. This also has a search bar now.
- The previous behavior where matched columns automatically appear has been removed in favor of user-selected fields.
- User selected fields, pinned columns, and column ordering now persist.
Attachments
- Users can now view attachments on events that have them included.
Object Details Viewer
- An event loaded onto the Object Details Viewer now displays fields/values for data that has null values. (Previously, these were omitted from the default view of an event.)
Other
- Fixed a bug in which event detail templates would periodically reset your work when in the process of building a template.
- The current user now appears at the top of the list of users in areas where a user can be assigned to an item (collections and notifications).
User Management
Report Builder
- Updated the permission of JSON export to be tied to Collection Export.
Audit Viewer
More Filtering
- Additional filters have been added to make it easier for users to find specific actions performed.
Known Issues
Data Management Tool
- S3 connectors currently fail to read files in JSON array file format. As a workaround, convert files to newline format if possible.
- S3 connectors fail to read files in TSV format.
Authoring/HCEP
- Working in computations with multiple users may cause loss of progress due to users overwriting each other’s work while on the same screen. As a workaround, limit computations usage to one active user.
- Schema discovery does not recognize JSON objects.
- A crash may occur when
\
is entered in the search bar of the project landing page. - Authoring may crash when adding a new outcome to a pattern. No data loss occurs when this happens; users can refresh the page and resume work.
- Deployment artifacts (such as temporary JAR files) can potentially fill up disk space and cause deployments to fail. As a workaround, be sure to clear the disk temp folder periodically. (There is a 3-day automatic cleanup policy in place, but the rate of disk filling is dependent on the frequency of deployment.)
- The right-click menu does not remain open on Windows machines. As a workaround, access the features from that menu on the inspect panel and toolbars instead.
Workstation
- When idle, the Workstation UI may display an error message. Refresh the screen to solve the issue.
- Performing a filter on an event for multiple data fields sharing the same field name but different paths fails to correctly return results.
- The PDF export does not correctly handle custom fields on collections that are in a group.
- The Risk History widget does not immediately respond to widget size changes.
- The Map widget fails to plot polygons.
- Workstation will not ingest events that have multiple data fields that are geo arrays.
- Linking the Notifications Explorer widget to the Map does not plot geo coordinates.
- In some situations, clicking the checkmark button after editing a widget's name may have difficulty registering a mouse-click. A workaround to this is to press ENTER to submit your change.
- The sort logic for Ascending and Descending order for the "Tag" option in the Notifications Explorer widget is inverted.
- Sorting by Assignee on collections sorts users by ID rather than name.
- In some circumstances, a retracted pattern solution on the Drilldown widget may change color between blue and gray. Retracted pattern solutions are intended to always be gray.
Audit Viewer
- The date picker for the Date Range in Audit UI does not allow you to type in "AM" or "PM" manually. This can however be worked around by clicking the Calendar icon to select "AM" or "PM".
