Super Admin

The first user that logs into a Cogynt application (Authoring, Data Management, Workstation, Audit Viewer, User Management, or Model Doc) is automatically granted a Super Admin role. This role grants the user all permissions to all available Cogynt functions.

Note

After a new Cogynt environment is installed, it is highly recommended to have the user that should be the Super Admin log in to the environment first.

In the rare case that the authentication provider is changed after the system is set up, the Super Admin role is automatically assigned to the first user that logs in after the change.

As of Cogynt 2.9.X, a Super Admin can assign the Super Admin role to other users that log in to the system. There can be multiple Super Admins.

Only Super Admins can revoke the Super Admin role from other users. However, it is not possible to revoke a role from one's own account.
