Cogynt for Stakeholders
As a stakeholder, you may be interested in monitoring the progress of particular Cogynt projects. Cogynt supports the use of business intelligence dashboards, making it possible for interested parties to review a project's key trends and metrics once an operation manager has configured them.
A stakeholder's tasks in Cogynt might include:
- Obtaining login credentials.
- Accessing business intelligence dashboards.
- Reading business intelligence dashboards.
Each of these tasks is outlined in greater detail in the sections to follow. Where applicable, links to relevant documentation are provided.
Obtaining Login Credentials
If a project's information is kept private, you will need to establish login credentials for your Cogynt cluster's Apache Superset deployment.
Your project's operation manager can create initial Superset login credentials for you. Contact the operation manager to begin the process.
You can change parts of your login credentials, such as your password, after logging in.
Accessing Dashboards
If your project's information is made publicly available, you can access the relevant dashboards by visiting the public URL your operation manager provides.
For private projects, you will need to access and log in to Superset using an internet-connected web browser. The URL for private project dashboards follows the syntax https://superset-[environment].[domain_name].[domain_suffix]
, where:
[environment]
is the cluster to access. Customers may have access to different clusters (such asdevelopment
,staging
, orproduction
).[domain name]
is the customer's domain (for example, cogility
).[domain suffix]
is the customer's domain suffix (for instance, com
,io
,org
, etc.).
Consider the following hypothetical scenario:
- The production cluster is named
prod
. - The customer's domain is named
example
. - The customer's domain suffix is
com
.
Given this information, navigating to https://superset-prod.example.com
would access the dashboard in the production environment.
Reading Dashboards
Depending on its configuration, a dashboard can house a number of charts and tables that display key metrics, trends, and data points.
The exact charts and data presented depends on the project and its configuration.
For a guide to the types of charts and their uses, see Atlassian's Essential chart types for data visualization.
