Archiving and Dismissing Event Notifications

An event that has been loaded from Notifications Explorer into the Object Details Viewer can be active, archived, or dismissed as its status dictates. While functionally similar, it is recommended users choose to either archive or dismiss notifications for consistency.

If a notification is neither Archived nor Dismissed, it is considered Active.

Archiving Event Notifications

An event notification must be loaded into Object Details Viewer before it can be archived.

1. At the top right of the Object Details Viewer, click the Archive icon.
2. Confirm the notification of archival, or click Cancel to reject it.

Dismissing Event Notifications

An event loaded into Object Details Viewer can be dismissed.

1. At the top right of Object Details Viewer, click the Edit (✎) icon.
2. At the bottom left of the next screen, click the Dismiss icon.
3. Confirm the notification of dismissal, or click Cancel to reject it.

Alternatively, dismissal can be done from within the notifications stream.

To dismiss an event notification from the Notifications widget:

1. Within a working view, to the right of any event notification inside a notifications stream, click the X icon.
2. Confirm the notification of dismissal, or click Cancel to reject it.

Note

Once dismissed or archived, an event notification cannot be returned to Active status. However, archived and dismissed event notifications are still accessible via filters in the Notifications Explorer widget.
