Creating Backups

Accidents and mistakes happen, and sometimes the result may be as catastrophic as total data loss on the server. The consequences of potential failures can be reduced by simply scheduling a weekly or monthly backup process while the system is not in use (for instance, during the weekends).

The process should include:

• Backing up the data in Kafka.
• Exporting project files from Authoring.
• Keeping track of the file versions.

This is also an effective means of archival and version control for audit purposes.
