Default Roles

The first user to log into a fresh installation of Cogynt is granted the Super Admin user role and given all permissions to all applications. If the account's default role is not defined, the Super Admin role is also granted to any user that logs into Cogynt after a fresh installation.

The Super Admin, or any other admin-like users, should configure a default role containing any appropriate permissions before non-admin users log in to the system.

Note

If an unintended user logs in as Super Admin, it is possible for other Super Admin users to revoke Super Admin access and manually set this user's proper role.

To better represent the use case of a given organization, any role can be renamed (for example, "Default", "Read Only", "No Access", etc.).
